Underrated Actors: Rhys Ifans

This Welch native has been in the acting business for many years starting with stage theatre and progressively snuck his way through onto the big screen. With many movies credited under his belt, this lanky and unique chap has acted alongside many accomplished actors such as Julia Roberts, Keanu Reeves, Gene Hackman, Tim Robbins, Jude Law, and even Samuel L Jackson!
His acting roles are generally small, but he usually becomes the most memorable character in most of his movies. You may have caught him in a few movies as the random guy who would prance around in a pair of whitey-tighties. He is more than just that - this is a man who has the acting chops to display an array of emotions. He is one of many actors who go unnoticed for their incredible talent.
Most recently, Rhys has been cast in some leading roles that show another side to his acting talent. In 2003, he played a dreamer looking for bigger and better things outside his boring life called Danny Deckchair. In 2004, he took on the role as the visionary British comedian, Peter Cook in the biographic film, Not Only But Always. His performance of Peter Cook was so believable, that he won a BAFTA award as a result. He has acted in tons of films that I could write on about. There would be no use for me to explain how well of an actor he is unless you go out and watch his movies.
